Sending a message
When you send a mail message, Notes saves a copy of it in the Sent view. If you want to see all the mail you have sent, click the Sent view icon in the navigation pane. Sent messages also appear with a small envelope icon in every view or folder in mail.

Once you create a message, there are a variety of ways to send it.
What do you want to do?Do this
Send the message and save a copy in the Sent viewClick Send.
Send the message without saving itPress ESC and click "Send Only."
Save a copy of the message in the Drafts view without sending itClick "Save as Draft."
Send the message and file a copy in a specific folderClick "Send and File" and select where you want to save the message. Notes also shows the message in the Sent view.
Discard the message without sending or savingPress ESC and click Discard.
Re-send a new copy of a sent and saved messageSelect the message and choose Actions - Copy Into New - New Memo, edit, and send the message.
Change what Notes does each time you send a messageChange Mail preferences. For example, you can ask for messages not to be saved automatically in the Sent view, keeping your mail database smaller.
Track a sent message
  1. Open the Sent view and select the message.
  2. From the menu, choose Actions - Tools - Send Tracking Request.
  3. Select the recipient(s) you want to track.
  4. Select "Delivery status only" or "Trace entire path," and click OK.

Stop a message from being sent after you send itIf you're connected directly to your Domino server, any message you send is sent immediately. But you can hold outgoing messages in a mailbox, so you have another chance to delete them before they're sent.

Note If your connection is slow and a message is taking a long time to send, you can click the Stop (red x) button in the toolbar, or press CTRL+BREAK to stop sending.

Include an attached fileCreate an attachment in the rich-text area of the message before sending.
Tip After you send a message, the status bar reports the number of recipients to whom it was delivered.
