GETTING CONNECTED

Using WebMail or iNotes Web Access to access mail with a browser
If your Domino administrator sets up your Notes mail to use WebMail or iNotes Web Access, you may be able to read and work with Notes messages using a Web browser (such as Microsoft® Internet Explorer or Netscape Navigator) in addition to, or instead of, the Notes client software.

You will set up to use either WebMail or iNotes Web Access depending on what browser and software release you have. Ask your administrator to help you choose the correct software. If you use iNotes Web Access, also ask your administrator for assistance with synchronizing your Notes address book and journal with your iNotes Web Access contacts list and notebook. You will choose the Actions - Synchronize Address Book command in your Lotus Notes 6 mail database to perform the synchronization.

Once you access your mail through WebMail or iNotes, you can use its Help to explore what you can do with your mail using a browser.

To access Notes mail with a browser

1. Ask your Domino administrator to help make your mail database available for web browsing, if your organization allows it.

2. Open your browser.

3. Enter the URL for your mail file (for example, http://company.name.com/mail/jqpublic.nsf).

4. If necessary, specify your user name and password.
