Browsing Web pages offline
You can use Notes to browse Web pages offline (disconnected from a Domino network and the Internet) if either of the following applies: Offline browsing is possible because Web pages you visit using either connection method are saved in a Notes database. If you connect directly, pages are saved locally in the Personal Web Navigator. If you connect through a Domino server, pages are stored on that server in the Server Web Navigator database.

To set Notes for offline viewing

1. From the menu, choose File - Preferences - Location Preferences.


2. Click the Internet Browser tab.

3. In the Retrieve/open pages field, select "work offline."

4. Click Save and Close.

To browse pages in the Personal Web Navigator

To view a saved Web page offline, follow these steps:

1. Open the Personal Web Navigator database (PERWEB.NSF).

2. Click "All Pages" in the left pane.

3. Double-click the page you want to view.

To browse pages in the Server Web Navigator

You must first make a local replica of the Server Web Navigator database. Once you have done so, complete the following steps:

1. Open the local replica of the Server Web Navigator database (WEB.NSF).

2. Click "All Pages" in the left pane.

3. Double-click the page you want to view.

Tip Replicate the local Server Web Navigator with the Server Web Navigator on the Domino server to update both databases.
