BROWSING THE WEB WITH NOTES

Advanced Web retriever and log settings
You can set how many parts of a Web page Notes retrieves at the same time. For example, you can set Notes to retrieve text, images, and video all at once, instead of one at a time.

Note The more retrievers you have working concurrently, the more computer memory you use. This could significantly slow down the time it takes to download pages.

1. From the menu, choose File - Preferences - Location Preferences.

2. Click the Advanced tab, then click the Web Retriever tab.

3. In the Web Navigator database field, enter the database you want to use as your Personal Web Navigator.

4. In the Concurrent retrievers field, select the number of concurrent Web retrievers.

5. In the Retriever Log level field, select how messages should appear in the Notes log (log.nsf). Select Terse or Verbose to control the length of the message, or None to send no message.

6. In the Update cache field, select how often you want the Web retriever to update its cache.
